Online Safety- Momo Challenge Update

Update- Some news agencies are reporting that this is a hoax. We would never intentionally pass on information or participate in hysteria in any way.

Please accept that we were given credible information from news sources that we passed on to you out of an abundance of caution.

One news source stating this is a hoax: https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2019/02/momo-challenge-hoax/583825/

At any rate; we strongly encourage parents to monitor and place reasonable limits on screen time. We do not encourage social networking for children under the age of 13. This mirrors the user agreements of most sites and apps.

Goldsmith PTA

Goldsmith Parents, you are invited to the upcoming PTA Parent & Teacher Association) meeting at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, February 12 in the Goldsmith cafeteria.  We will go over what we have been up to this year so far, and things to do this Spring.  Among them are 1) setting up a movie or dance night, 2) update on the yearbook (we are the ones who make the yearbook), teacher appreciation week, what the school needs help with, and how we can help the school.  Last, we will discuss the need for new officers for the 2019-2020 school year.  So plan to come to the PTA meeting, and if you have never come to one before, you will see that PTA meetings are a great way to know what is happening in Goldsmith and what is coming on the horizon, Adam Lawson (Goldsmith PTA President)
